Hello, I am a network engineer and I have a job offer from Jamaica. There is no enough data about salaries there, so I kindly ask someone to help me... Offer is $70 000 net income, but I don' t know is that a big or small or average salary for an engineer. I know it depends on the way of life, but I am asking if this salary is above national average for network/telecommunication engineer or below? Thank you!

What currency is that? If it's USD, then that is a very good offer. If Jamaica dollars (couldn't be) then the opposite is true.

As already said, if that salary is in USD you'll be fine financially.
If it's JMD you should rethink the offer.

Thank you all for the answers. It's US dollars. It sounds like a lot of money to me, I'm just not sure why would someone pay that much money to bring someone who is not from Jamaica. There's like 3000000 people living in Jamaica, it should be easy to find engineers there... or not?

Well you have not told anyone what exactly you have to do to earn that money, so it is not possible to assess.
