Thinking about moving from US to Montego Bay

I visited Jamaica back in Nov. 2016 for vacation and loved it. I fell in love with the culture and people; now I am seriously considering moving there. I currently live in MD, I'm 32, single, and I have a 4 year old daughter. I wanted to sell my home and transfer all my assets to Jamaica to live on. My top concerns are: whether to rent or buy a home; educational system, I am diabetic and I need quality healthcare, and cost of living.

Please have a look at some of the previous threads regarding people who want to drop everything and head to Jamaica. You haven't given enough information to give you a proper opinion. Are you living on an independent income? Healthcare in a developing country is nothing like what you are accustomed to in the UsA. I would take another long vacation and think it over a second time.

Thank you for your feedback. I will be living off of money I'm bringing with me for a few years. I will not be working in Jamaica.
