I've been wanting to relocate to Tokyo for years, but so far a few barrier have stopped me. I've decided to give it one more try before I try another country. Maybe you can help me..

First, are there any apartments for about 680 USD a month? How do they compare to the usually more expensive apartments?

What job programs can I find that will help me find work as an expat? Any websites would be hellp.

If there really isn't anything I can do, then what about Osaka? Mainly, I'd just love to live in Japan!

Do you know about Nova? Their Japan website is http://www.teachinjapan.com/

A web search brought up this website http://www.gaijinpot.com/bb/showthread.php?p=44833 with a long conversation about three job alternatives. and this Teachers union website http://www.jobsinjapan.com/clubs/eflunions.html

My friends started their careers in Japan as teachers with the Jet program. When that program ended they found jobs working for the public schools as Assistant Language Teachers.

I teach English at home but I'm on Sofa Status and will need to get a work visa when my sofa status runs out in about 2 years.
