Hi, I am a 33 year old American thinking about moving to Jordan in early 2012. I need some connections to try to find work there. I have a BA in Anthropology and have worked as an HIV counselor in Public Health for the past 7 years. I"m very good with people. I do not speak Arabic though ....

Hi,
I am Anas, a local from Jordan.
I think you will find much opportunities at schools, maybe academies.
Teaching is a very big sector here in Jordan.
by time, and with good reputation, you might specialize in certain area and compile your own courses for people of interest, other courses for undergrad college students, big business!
but you have to start small steps here, you have to gain trust and occupation, you have to traverse tastes here in order to start a private business in teaching.
you need the language to live happy here, but professionally speaking, I don't think you'd have any problems, all educated people here talk decent English, so don't let this keep you worried, yet, LeaRN THe LaNGuaGe, you'll be happy here and get it much easier to live in Jordan.
Healthcare, you can find something considering your experience.

you can send me your resume, I can show it to some friends in both industries, they can instruct me, maybe circulate among selective institutions here in Jordan.

first ofall u are welcome Jordan where the best place safe and wonderful hostess your education is a very welcome and a very demand for many public and private sectors even with overseas private or governmental agencies
there are also many hospitals will appreciated your experience too
some education will adopt this qualification too
