Air Quality in Astana

Is there much pollution here? How is the air quality? We are currently living in Moscow and the air is polluted. We are having respiratory problems. Moving to Astana may be our next stop but only if the air is okay.

Hi! Please you are welcome here! Our air is clean! In winter is frosty! In summer it is a wind and sunny!
We have no problem with fresh air)))
Mostly it is windy)))

The air quality is not good in Astana, especially on the right bank--eastern part of the city-- from the time heating in buildings is turned on to the time it is turned off. This is roughly most of the year. Coal is burned and the air is not very breathable. Bring N-95 masks to filter out particulates!!

I just got back from Astana... Coal pollution was indeed a BIG problem for my (used to Dutch clean air) lungs. Still coughing 4 days later :(
