Hi myself and my g/friend are considering a move to kenya. What is the cost of living like? How much do I need to earn to survive! How much do I need to live like a king?!!! How much is a loaf of bread?

I would love to speak with somone who has been in my position and has all the answers!!

Thanks very much

thank you,
the cost of living here in Kenya is abit high ,its more comparable to your country united kingdom.
for you to live a comfortable live here in Kenya, you need to earn between 150,000 - 250,000kenya shillings .if it below this one you will strife to make end meet. the cost of the house in areas expatriate live is between 55,000ksh to 140,000 ksh.
the cost of bread right now is 34ksh. so by looking at the above information ,you can be able to know how to organize yourself.
just contact me incase of any question and i will be here to answer you.

Kenya is definitely NOT cheap.
A very nice 3 bedroom flat with a pool and small gym is 70000KES. A huge house out in the tony expat suburbs will run you 300000KES and higher per month. Electricity, water, house help, a car, and groceries are going to run you at least another 50000KES for a flat. If you're going to have a house, you're looking at spending 150000KES for those things - minimum. If you like to eat out, etc. add another 30000KES at least. Best of luck!
