If there was one thing that you wish you had known about living in Kenya before you arrived and started to settle in, what would it be?

Once you buy from a street vendor, you will be their target for the rest of your life. If you want to get out of your car without being deluged with movie, card, curio, and fruit sales people, don't buy. Save your shopping for the grocery store.

You have to stand in line to pay for almost anything including your utilities, electric, water, cable. Plan to spend time in line or find a trustworthy individual to pay for you.

The highway is crazy dangerous. Be careful. ...and don't look at accidents. i did once, threw up and had nightmares for 3 months.

if you get in an accident, don't move your car no matter how tempting it is. You will be held responsible if the police get there and you've moved your car.

Not all is bad. You will make dear friends for life. You'll just have to weed through who is your friend because they want something and who is your real friend.

Enjoy. i did and wish I was still there.
