4wd Vehicle needed beginning in January 2013

I am an American PhD student coming to Kenya in mid-January 2013 for about 5 months to conduct dissertation research on a limited budget and am looking for access to a 4wd vehicle.

I have looked into renting and the typical prices (more than $100 usd or 8-9000 ksh/day) are way beyond my available budget. If anyone has a vehicle they would be interested in loaning me or selling I can afford to pay somewhere around $2,000 USD or about 175,000 Ksh. I won't need the vehicle the entire time but might need it multiple days at a time during this duration.

I have experience working and driving in Kenya and can provide in-country references if need be. Please let me know if you have a vehicle available for rent or for sale that fits in my price range. Thanks.

I have an SUV, Nissan Xtrail that i rent out, and i think the budget you are giving on net is on the higher side.
