Commute to Karen

I am thinking to move from the centre of Nairobi to somewhere safe where I can commute to Karen in 45 min. This is for my child who started walking, and I want to live in an area where he can walk around with a nanny safely. Could you give me an advise? I have a friend who lived in Naivasha, and he likes there but that's a bit too far for me to commute everyday.

Hello,
There are several options available for you:

1. Loresho - Not too far from Karen, and it's a great leafy surburb with privacy and close to Westlands and Town. Commuting from Loresho to Karen(assuming you are driving) is very easy and there's also a way to avoid the incessant jams on Langata road: Just get onto Waiyaki way, drive up to Uthiru and take Naivasha road then on to Dagoretti corner and then proceed to Karen (Use Google maps to get an idea of what am saying). The drive as I've described should take no more than 30min tops.

2. Kyuna - Also close to Loresho and very private. Commute from here to Karen is as described above.

Regards,
anjuguna.
