Should I return to Kenya

I was born in Mombasa in 1946, left to go to school in UK at age 11 and have not been back since. Have very fond memories of Nyali beach where I grew up. Should I return to spend the autumn of my life there or is it not as I remember?? Bill

Mombasa is not what it used to be. Substantial population increase has had a tremendous impact (too many people, too many cars, a lot of pollution). However, Kenya is still a good country and the people are most friendly. However, always keep your wits about you, many will become friends just to get to some of your money (because tourism has almost collapsed, there are not many jobs about)..

Yes why not you are highly welcome and you will find a different place all together, a lot of improvement has been done in terms of housing as well as real estate constructions but the beach remains fabulous
