" What would you recommend, somewhere in Kiribati or Hawaii? Is Kiribati more secluded and less frequented? That''s what I''m looking for. My husband and I want two weeks of quiet! I''ve gotten bad advice about lesser known places from travel agents in the past so I''d love to hear from people that actually live there. Thanks! Jamie "

Hawaii is a frequently visited vacation site since it's a well known tourist's destination. There are only few sites that you can go to where nobody is going to disturb your quiet time with your husband. Kiribati, on the other hand, is the opposite of Hawaii. Less people, less disturbance and many low budget vacation sites.

By the way, has anyone ever told you about Costa Rica? Check it out at Costa Rica Consultants you can talk to David. He's a good guy. He helped us find great vacation sites out there last October.

Hi there, I am Kourabi from Kiribati and I do agree with others say a bout Kiribati, but itz not that bad though,....

Kiribati is a quiet place and I hope you will have a great vacation here.... the Taiwan Park is a good place for picnic and is very silent (except on the weekends cause thats the time when people used to have picnics, but they not that disturbing) ..

the Otintaai (which means sunset) hotel is a good place for tourists.... there are other good places to rent and I recommend that you take "Fema Lodge" if you wish to visit Kiribati. there is a nearby shop which is about 3-5 mins walk.

You can search for further information about accommodations here in Kiribati using google.....

wish you a great vacation
