" Hi Chad, just to let you know: ""I like living in Korea"". How you will like it depends on your expectations and the environment you are coming from. Not to mention on the working hours you have to cope with (it''s still long hours here - even work at weekends). It depends on the company or language institute etc. you are coming with. Most foreigners do have membership with fitness clubs. It''s a nice way to get to know other people as well - but they are expensive. Here are some of the centers most frequented by foreigners: Seoul Club (opposite the National Theatre, between Tower Hotel and Shilla Hotel) Hyatt Hotel - Olympus Club (think they have a very long waiting list) Westin Chosun Hotel Fitness Club (near City Hall, downtown) JJ Mariott Thermal Spa and Fitness (Kangnam/Express bus terminal area) California Fitness in Myong Dong (downtown), which is less expensive Samwon Fitness (down the street from Hyatt Hotel to Panporo) as well less expensive There are a lot less expensive fitness centers in the different neighbourhoods, if you do not mind being the only foreigner give it a try. I gave you only those popular with foreigners (and there are certainly some more around). Try to get one not far from home and/or your work place. Travelling through the city might a lot of time due to heavy traffic and you are less likely to use the center if its difficult to reach. As usual - any questions drop me a line, Kerstin "
