" Dear Faisal, I am an American Muslim and I have been offered a job in Kuwait at the American Academy for Girls. Have you heard of the school? If so, what have you heard? Does it have a good reputation? Also, what advice could you give me to make my move there smooth? Tell me, is it safe for a woman to take taxis or the bus? Can you walk to the markets and other places without being bothered. I have heard that men bother women. I am shocked that muslim men would act so immature and unIslamic. We don''t have that problem in American. Women can walk freely, dressed any way and not be bothered by men. Can I go to the masjids there for salat freely? thank you for any information. Maa Sa "

" Hi, Thank you for the offer to help answer questions. I have a few questions...How much is it to rent a car in Kuwait? What is a reputable dealer to do so? Internet access at home, how much and where do you get it? Where is the AbuHalifa area and is it close to the DAsman or Salmiya area? Do you know anything about the DAsman Model School? That''s all for now. Nevine "

" Thanks for replying back. The American Academy for Girls is a good school. I beleive that Kuwait is a modern country and because it is an islamic community then, dress has to be acceptable. But women can dress fashion close and walk freely in the street. Please to exchange more information would you please send me your telephone number so we can talk or you can send your messages at my e-mail address: faisal at yahoo dot com . Thank you and hope to hear from you soon. Bye "

" Don''t go to that school!!! - I taught there - nightmare and should close - go to geocities.com and read web site - posted as Amercian Creativity Academy AACgripe - more than 44 teachers left this year alone - administrators are a nightmare - Dr. Tareq who started the school left this year - have new administrator Dr. Chris - worst I''ve ever encountered - a Hitler type - go anywhere else but there!!! Dr. Tareq had the Muslim following behind him so many probably left also - much in-fighting - no harmony within - Principal of girl''s campus a loony-toon Canadian transplant Muslim who has no training in schools - she was a real dope to work with. Her only qualification was being Muslim - many of the newly recruited teachers have backed out - salary is pathetic now- housing in a nasty area of Hawally - dead cats and garbage - teacher moral low, more like suicidal.......
