I have got an offer in construction industries, but I'm not sure the pay will cover our family expenses.
We have got a very comfortable life style in Melbourne, my wife and I both working.
We have two children 9 & 3
We need a house/villa or an apartment with 3 bed and bathroom in a very nice area.
What would be the running cost of our family including rent, school fees (private), cars, food, etc...?
I appreciate and thank you in advance for any information before we make our final decision

Expenses can be costly in Kuwait if you want an extravagant lifestyle. A 3 bd apt or a villa will cost you around 450 KD or $1,350 american dollars. You may be able to negotiate living expenses in your contract. They will either pay the cost or give you a portion of the amount. American or English private schools can be costly. Around 1,500 KD or $4,500 per year for your 9 yr old. Some companies pay for the employees school tuition so also check about that. There are many westernized establishments here: Friday's, Chili's, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Starbucks...prices are reasonable. Sultan Center carries a lot of American & British products so that is probably where you'd want to shop for groceries. However, the local supermarkets sometimes carry items that are just as good and much cheaper. Your company might also provide a vehicle which would also help you out so be sure and inquire about that also. Good Luck!

I am US citizen and have just moved to Kuwait last week. I am currently staying at a hotel. Where would you suggest I start looking for a place to rent 350-450KD? My wife and three children will be arriving late May. One of my main concerns is schooling for the kids. Do you recommend any of them such as AIS or UAS.

Thanks
