I will be moving to Kuwait, and my company is insisting I stay in an apartment managed by AAA Housing. Has anybody had any experience with them? Are they nice places? Anything I need to be warned about?

I live at one of AAA buildings, they are fine, depending on the location, some do not have recreation facilities, they are safe and clean, do not worry :)

I have been to every AAA apt in Fahaeel, Mangaf, Abu halifa and mahaboula while looking for apt for when my wife and daughter arrived a year ago. They are very nice apts, well furnished, maid service etc. Only problem I had is they are a bit costly.

I live in a Triple A Housing complex and did before when we were here. I recommend them very highly. They have buildings all over. They are the largest and highest rated management housing company in Kuwait. I'm sure you can find a fully furnished 1 bedroom apartment at a cost you can afford. If you don't want to go with Triple A there are plenty of other apartments and other management companies as well as private people you can inquire of.
But remember in Kuwait as anywhere -- You Will Get What You Pay For. Meaning if you pay practically nothing you will get practically nothing.
Best of luck to you.

I believe you can take a look at http://www.masahati.com
and keep an eye out for properties from all sorts of agencies and owners. Its a pretty good site with lots of images, and incredibly interactive. I suppose you also might find AAA housing properties on it as well.

AAA offers apartments to Western standards. Their apartments are well furnished and they pay attention to finishings (where other places may not). Finishings - I mean details on decor like baseboards on walls, proper caulking in the bathroom, etc. Their buildings usually have 24 hour security, pools, gyms, internet, landline phones, and maid service. They are used to dealing with American and European customers and have been for years so you know that they will be responsive. Personally, I would be happy if my company offered to "make" me stay in one of their properties. AAA has good service and you pay more because of it.
