Hi there, I've been in Kuwait a few months and I'm dying to meet other South African's. I miss talking about home and hearing my own language. Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.

Seriously it is the worst accent ever and i don't have a south african accent so i am perfectly fine in expressing the annoyance of the whinny twang of Americans.

binks, way to go! great job on showing your ignorance and your stupidity for showing it. Just as most people who blast Americans do. But just which accent do you refer to? Because you obviously have no clue what an American is. Seriously, before you say something else stupid, stfu.

I've been working in Kuwait for two yrs..and I visited South Africa and stayed there for 2 months.
I'd like to get in touch with South African communities here, as I'm interested in SA culture.

We don't have a culture - we're colonial by nature and can adapt anywhere.
As to the comments about our accents - small price to pay to be able to converse with the dutch, belgiums, zulu's and half a dozen other tribes ....
Lets see, the 'americans' didn't bother with the native american languages which is understandable to a point, but I'd suggest learning spanish or chinese if you hope to adapt to the future - see what that's gonna do to your accent ;-)
I'm an Mlungu (or Wazungu further north) which basically tranlates to white scum that washes up on the beach. Pretty apt description for the original settlers from the local tribesman ... but a thick skin helps - especially with that african sun and those pesky thorn bushes lol
