Hi, our little daughter is 2 years and 9 month old and has just been diagnosed as autistic. We are trying to get her the best possible help here in Kuwait but have not yet had any success finding an ABA therapist for her. We were told by several experts that ABA would be the best chance we have to improve her condition. Does anybody know an ABA therapist? The waiting list at the autism center here is so long that they wouldn't even put us on there... Any help will be very much appreciated!

Hi-There are not a lot of ABA therapist here in Kuwait. My nephew goes to one. She lives in Salwa. If you want I can ask her.

Have you looked into any resources at the Manarat School? They might be able to refer you to a therapist. The Website is Manaratschool.com. It uses a TX based curriculum for special needs children 3 to 18.

there's an autristic society in west mishref and most austristic children attend dasman model school

I know an older autistic child who goes to one of British Schools here. There are few British schools in Kuwait who have special units. I know that KES has the Green Unit for special needs children.

HI , I am a speech therapist . We try and encourage the positive behavior and discourage the negative behavior. The main idea is communication be it verbal or non-verbal mode.
