Hi everyone. I am a 26 year old female considering moving to Kuwait City for a job. Having only read about that part of the world, what is it like? What can i expect being a New Yorker my whole life?
I'm just in the process of researching some information so please give me everything you've got!

your quesrions are too vague to answer succinctly what's it like living in new york? well, i hear the 47th floor of the trump tower is a whole lot different from the barracks at west point or some dairy farm upstate or a homeless shelter in buffalo or some tourist motel at niagra falls i've only read about those places - what are they like as a new yorker for 26 years you would know. see what i'm saying here. BE SPECIFIC do you have a job offer , have you seriously applied for any jobs or are you just now fishing for knowledge

Its like a different world - Kuwait is. Being a native Missourian for all of my life and then moving to Kuwait was culture shock. In my line of work I deal with East Coast people. The majority of you have your own type of persona, per se. A bit up in the air - a bit down to earth. Approach Kuwait like an adventure with an open mind and curb your snobbishness you should be fine.
Email me with questions, I'll see what I can do to help.

Hi, As other's have mentioned you are going to face a cultural shock....Having said that, there is an vibrant American community with which you can expect to mingle and have good time. There are no pubs or discs and liquor is also banned. But private parties take place with everything available. Americans like any part of the world are treated with respect in Kuwait. Driving around is also not very difficult as the traffic system is directly aped from the US. Living expenses are nominal. Let me know if you need to anything more

It is not like our driving system at all. I disagree. We do not have round abouts, we make left turns. And we do not drive like the majority of the people in Kuwait. We have laws and abide by them. We also have driving tests and agencies that will help you with that. I don't know where you got that it's 'aped' directly from the US.
