can someone please inform me of the process IF during medicals in kuwait u are found HIV+

if you are found HIV+ during your medicals, you won't be able to stay in kuwait, unfortunately. they are pretty strict on this one. i have heard of situations where some strings were pulled through "waste" and folks have been able to remain but i believe this is pretty rare. i used to work in a large medical facility and was told prior to me working there that a doctor who had worked there for a long time had come up HIV+ on his medicals and was terminated forthwith and was trying to find a way to remain in the country desperately but unfortunately, as the story goes, he had to leave. i hope this information is helpful to you and in the meantime, take good care. peace and blessings to you.

geez andrews12, i am really sorry to hear that. and, the thing is, that the GCC countries all tend to subscribe to the same laws when running their countries so i venture to guess you'd run into the same problems. is it possible to be open and mention your partner's issue to your sponsor and see if your sponsor can pull some strings? it is always worth trying the WASTA route because it does work in this country. you never know, it couldn't hurt. God bless you and your partner...i really hope it works out for both of you. do keep us posted here; we are sending lots of light, love, good juju and prayers.

coachlaurie, a wealth of understanding, thank you!, as much as id love to try you know what Kuwait is like, its all about who you know, he contracted it thru blood transfusions many years ago, and his health is perfect thank god, but here they think the worst, he is the love of my life so to not be able to live here, even to save(as im sure you are aware of the european market) with him would be too much to bare, i appreciate ur JuJu and prayers, and have wished alot of irish Ard Mor Ort agus sonas( good luck and happiness) on you xx
