I am looking to deploy there for a year as a contractor. One issue is I am a disabled veteran and on narcotics for pain from my injuries. My VA doctors can't send me the meds for a year without seeing me since they have to check me every month. How hard would it be to get a private doctor there to provide them based on my past and just explaining the issues to them?

Hi,

I was in to see my doctor yesterday and so i asked her your question. She said that it would not be a big thing. She would want to see your existing prescriptions and also an attested letter from your attending physician with regards the condition and the purpose/need for the medication.

Thanks! I didn't think it would be too hard since it is a pretty common medication for chronic pain conditions. You never know for sure though. I did finally get work from the employer though and the US government didn't like the idea of me being on that medication there.
