I just got offered a job in Kuwait. Salary of 460 kwd plus housing allowance of 220 kwd and phone bill and car allowance. Would I be able to afford a comfortable one bedroom apartment in a good area with this salary and housing allowance? Any info could help. Thanks

Hi Liz,

I have lived in Kuwait since 2008 as Computer Engineer.
460 k.d, it would be enough if living alone, I mean without family because the life in Kuwait so costly specially the flat rent and lifestyle.
Yesm you can find a good flat with 1bhk with +220 kd but so small in a good area like Salmiya or Hawally.

The petrol is very cheap and the food also.
The weather is very hot reach to 55 degree in July and August.
