I will be working as teacher in August - I have documents attested, FBI clearance, etc. What do I need from school for obtaining visa?

You mean they have gave you a contract and visa? or you will come as tourist in August, then you will apply in Kuwait Ministry of Education?

I have a contract but wonder what other paperwork I need from the school. I would not want to come on a tourist visa because this could cause me problems later on.

Hi,
If you have a contract from Kuwait to work in Kuwait means you don't need any thing to bring it with you for improvement but, may be you need your certification with transcripts, experience paper and all these things you must seal it and sign it from ministry of exterior in your country and Kuwait embassy before you come to here.
By the way, from where you are? and what the subject you will teach here in Kuwait ?

USA but currently in China teaching till end of month. Will teach English. I hope I like Kuwait and it's not to difficult an adjustment from China (and living in a 10 million + person city).

Don't worry, everything will be fine but the disadvantage in Kuwait the hot weather and there is no place for entertainment or enjoyment. In addition, the night life and bars banned. I hope good journey for you. Tell me if reach Kuwait if you want any help or assistance.

I too am coming over to work for a school in August, Isn't your employer (school) taking care of the visa process for you? It is my understanding that the work and residence visas are applied for on your behalf and they will let you know what documents you need.

All these things related to the visa process they will do it. For me I am not a teacher, I am computer engineer in insurance Co. and they do all visa process.
