Hi,
I am planning to buy my friends car. It is tax-not-paid car and I will get a work permit soon. The problem is that my friend bought it as tax free, but never got the work permit. Will it cause me trouble now if I buy it e.g. in registering the car?

I don't have personal experience of this, but as far as I know, you can only own a tax-not-paid vehicle if you are employed by an NGO or government dept or recognised foreign entity.

Otherwise you have to pay the tax, which is considerable.
