Hi,

I have just been offered a job that would see me based in Savanakhet.

Package includes salary of around 2000usd
Company car
Health ins
1return flt
250 usd for housing each month.

My questions are:

What is Savanakhet like?
What type of accomodation will 250 usd get me?
What type of lifestyle will 2000usd give me?
Are there any good schools in Savanakhet?

I am married with a 5 yr old daughter.
Any tips/suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is the salary $2000 a month and is it after tax or before tax.

Tax rates for expats have just been increased to approx 20% +

Schooling for your daughter may be a problem as there are no international schools there that I know of.
