Welcome to Laos (I'm speaking like a Roman!)! The language is Lao, the people r Lao, the country is Pathed Lao or Meuang Lao. People drive on RHS of the road. People like eating in Lao, like Thailand, I suppose! Depending where you eat you can spend 1/2 the price of upper end restaurants. If you are coming to VTE, it is not big. ATM it is quite pretty with the city getting ready for the ASEAN meeting, it is decked out with Xmas lights, all the kerbs r being painted. Traffic is craazy! I hope your stay is a pleasant one! Daovieng PS What is waiting for 2 Falang women. I hope surprises and excitement!Good luck with the jobs!

In terms of accommodation, if you could give address of where you will work n your budget, I could make suggestion on accommodation. I assume you will not have transport initially.

Have a look at www.enjoy-laos.com under services and then apartments. These are located in the center.

Good luck

Hello,

I'm not sure if you've settle down in VTE or not yet.
As, I'm a new member of this page and just sing-in 2 days ago.

I'm a Lao living in France.
My husband is French and we've a little boy 2 year and a half.

We planed to go back to Laos this year. Hopefully in the next few months.
That's why, I starts to look for a house for rent and just wondering if you fond your accommodation.

If no, you could find it on this website ( immo agency ).
