Good afternoon from Bali gentle Laotian expats. By way of introduction I am originally UK/USA citizen and have lived as expat now for almost 9 years in the east of Bali, Indonesia. I immediately apologize all inane/stupid/often asked/touristy questions that you've all seen 1000+ times. So once more won't kill you or? I'm looking to visit Laos and start the extended tour off with a somewhat personalized cruise down or up (makes no material difference to me) the Mekong. Preferably in the gentle hands of someone local and not too rapacious but with a grasp of English and some humour. Tall ask? That's why I'm talking with people of knowledge and understanding.
