We're going to be putting together an article entitled, 10 Tips for Living in Latvia, and we need your help. Please post a reply to this thread with as many tips as you'd like (or as few) for expats living in Latvia. Whether you're a newcomer yourself or a seasoned expats whose lived abroad for many years, share your favorite tips for expats living in Latvia. Hi!

I live in Latvia since August 2002, so I can say that I managed to adjust by now.

Still, there are things that foreigners need to keep in mind while here:
1. Weather - is rather cold with very long winters and high humidity. Very tough for people with rheumatic or other inflamatory joint problems, for example.

2. Latvians are sensittive to topics related to their relationship with their Easter neighbour, Russia.

I will get back when I will remember more :)
