Help! moving to luxembourg in july

Hi, I have received a job offer from a EU institution in Luxembourg. I am struggling to give an answer. The job is ok offering financial security and benefits although the pay not so great for LUx standards I think (around 3500 clean). My husband will have to look for a job there, he is French and speaks English and Spanish , currently works in sales, will he be able to get a job you think? Also I have a 2 years old baby and although Lux seems a great place for children (we will also be able to enroll her at the European school I imagine) I am concerned about life in a country with bad weather etc etc (I currently live in Spain, where I have a nice job with a similar salary and a much cheaper lifestyle but with a temporary contract). I don't know what to do! I've changed countries quite a few times ni my life but this time it is getting difficult to make the decision, perhaps because I feel so comfortable where I am. I feel I can't turn the ob down but I am also scared. Help!

If your husband is a French national he may find a job here, but it's not easy.

You still have to pay the creche (the EU School is free for older kids but not the creche). This is roughly 6-800 euro depending on your revenues.

Renting an apartment costs at least 1000 euro (close to 1200 euro) per month plus 2 months deposit refundable at the end of the rental contract, plus one month fee for the agency.

If your contract is a permanent one it may be ok, otherwise it's...tricky!

Many thanks for your reply, I guess it depends on whether he gets a job or not (and how soon). Do you know how the job situation is right now? (ie.in Spain where we are now its awfully bad). Can you recommend a website/agency to look for jobs? I have spent yesterday looking for info on Lux on the web and I am very worried about how expensive life is over there. Many thanks again for your help!
