I am looking at moving to Madagascar. I have inherited a piece of land on Sainte Marie. Is there anyone out there that knows how I would go about immigrating there from South Africa?

if you are looking for a touristic visa then you can get that from the airport in Madagascar directly. But if you are looking for a long term visa, you will need to get a transformable visa from the embassy of Madagascar in South Africa and then you can turn that into a long term visa

Hello New2Tana, Thank you for the information. What I will have to do is the latter. I will apply for a transformable visa and definitaly have to apply for a long term. I need to stay on Sainte Marie for long periods of time due to the fact that I am opening a "hotel" on the land. I have staff in place and I need to pay them salaries etc. Thank you again for the information. How did you find yourself in Madagascar?

You are welcome. I am good here. Be advised that the political situation at the moment is a bit tense, so be careful, think and plan twice for your project before starting with it. Good luck
