Hello! I need your help in deciding where to live. We are husband, wife and 11 month old girl. We will be moving to S.E. Asia sometime next year, and I've narrowed our choices to 2 countries: Malaysia or Singapore...I would greatly appreciate your insights regarding quality of life, money, schools, what to expect when it comes to expat packages, etc. Thank you sooooo much!!!!!

Malaysia is a far better, more relaxed, much cheaper, more open and more recreational place to live. Singapore is highly structured, very clean, but a dangerous place with a cunning population who will welcome you outwardly and plan your destruction inwardly. KL property prices are a fraction of Singapore's and so you can afford much nicer homes and you can drive ... whereas Singapore limits that ability. Good luck!

Dear Canuck,

Malaysia is indeed a better place to live in. The standard of living is better, in the sense you have better value for your money.

You will be able to live in a luxury condo or house at the fraction of the cost in Singapore. The people are friendlier in Malaysia.

But my question? How do you intend to live in Malaysia? the Malaysia Immigration policies are quite stiff.

If you need any advice do you can E-mail to jfcnoronha@yahoo.com
