Dears
Please help me, I have received an employment offer in Sarawak. And I have no idea about Malaysia yet, there is no time to think much about the offer.
I'm living in the state of Qatar with my wife and we are making a good quality life style in here, the offer I'm having in Sarawak is a better money, but I can't decide before knowing the home rent fees, when I contacted the company they told me that they will provide me a bachelor accommodation only or I should rent my own home. I even don't know if the company is good enough, the name of the company is S.A Industries. Can anyone check it out and inform me please

G'day,

Sarawak (east malaysia) is the biggest state in Malaysia located on Borneo island (which is occupied by Malaysia, Brunei & Indonesia).
The natural resources rich state is wellknown for commodities such as oil & gas, pepper & timber.
With that said, its not as develop in comparison to west malaysia, where the federal govermnet is located.

However, the two cities in Sarawak, Kuching & Miri, received most of the development attention.

Depending on ones lifestyle, my hometown of Kuching & the area surrounding it is a beautiful place to be if one enjoys learning the multi-cultures of the population, rich history, great food, well maintain national parks.

Quality of life is definitely less stressful in comparison to the capital, Kuala Lumpur.

Food is relatively cheaper as well though printed materials (newspaper & magazine) can be a little dearer.

A nice apartment can be rented for around US$500/mth while u can easily get by with your wife with US$10/ day for food.

I know of family friends who are foreigners that chose to make Sarawak their second home because most people some english, cheaper yet more quality filled lifestyle.

Will stop here as Im getting homesick. Do email me at colinong5@gmail.com if u need more info
