We are considereing a move to Malaysia. My husband and I and 2 of our 3 children (one attends college). The other 2 are 17 & 15. Would appreciate any general info about life in Malaysia for American Expats. How would it be for 2 teenagers? Cost of living? Are there "compounds" or resort style housing? The best and worst things about life in Malaysia?
We lived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a few yrs and are looking forward to another overseas adventure!

It would be different from Saudi Arabia for sure.Malaysia is multi cultural and English is commonly spoken.There are gated as well resort living but depends where you will be based.You would love Malaysia. A

Malaysia is a very beautiful country and a great country to live in. It is certainly different that Saudi Arabia in many ways. Malaysia is a very unique country where 3 or more different races (namely Malay, Chinese and Indians) living together in peace and harmony.
