Hi,
My name is Roger and I’m going to move to Malaysia together with my family mid of next year for a time period of two years. I will work for a german company in Sendayan (Negeri Sembilan). I know there are a couple of international Kindergarten in KL resp.close to KL. Nevertheless it would be great to have an international kindergarten close to my company.
Does anybody has an idea or maybe has been in the same situation. I’ve read that there is an international kindergarten in Seremban 2 and a school called UCSI inPort Dickson!?? Maybe there are also some german kindergarten, but international would also be fine. Furthermore it would be great for my wife if she would have some possibilities to do all day long. As I understood there is no real international community in Seremban or port Dickson. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Some recommendations??
Does anyone have some experiences regarding my problem ……???? I really appreciate your support …
Regards

Hi Roger, 1. Are you sure it is Sendayan, not Senawang? Sendayan is more like plantation area (Felda), where as Senawang is where the industrial estates are.
2. I've passed by Springhill on my way from Seremban to Port Dickson middle of this year, yes, there is indeed a township there, easily seen from the Seremban-Port Dickson highway. I've never been to there, but I believe you can contact them by email for help/suggestion.
3. German community: There is a German-Malaysia Institute at Bangi (Selangor), some 50-60km north away from Seremban. Bangi has plenty of multinational companies as well as two major universities campus nearby:UKM and UPM. At 110km/h (speed limit), you can reach there in half an hour. Of course, one expect to see Germans at GMI. Maybe you can write to them too. Senawang is tmore like the "little Bangi".
3. Port Dickson is just a sleepy beach resort town with plenty of international hotels. Seremban is expanding pretty fast, so things could change quickly very soon.

Mans thanks for your response! There is a new industrial area called Sendayan Tech Valley!
I just looked around Bangi and I could not identify a kindergarten!
It would really be the best to find something in the area of Seremban or Port Dickson but I need to consider that my wife and my two kids need something to do all day long when I'm working!
Not easy to investigate from Germany
Regardis Roger

oh my. Bangi is reasonably a big town, surely there are kindergartens. Kindergartens are called Tadika in Malay, Childcare as some prefer, they are all the same.
Ok, probably you are confused by another small place called Bangi, which most people dont bother. It was like some small remote place. . The Bangi most people refer to and the one you should look at is "Bandar Baru Bangi".

Note: there is no standard name used for kindergartens here in Malaysia.

Hello, Yes, you are right there is an area call sendayan. They are new and they called it the damansara of Seremban, Speaking about German company, I think you are mentioning Schmidt and Clements. Here, we don't call international kindergardens, only international school but divided into different categories, how old is ur child there is currently a few, matrix international school, zenith international school, near bandar enstek epson, which one of my japanese client son goto, KL area there are the gardens international school, ISKL, Australian international school and etc. Yes currently no international community, maybe is a good idea to do an international community.

I would not recommend you send your child to UCSI... The school has a massive turnover rate... teachers break contract and leave because management is horrible. I have heard this from teachers who have actually taught at this school.
