My wife and I are currently I Malaysia looking at several locations we can try for a few months later this year with th hope of finding a long term lease where we can enjoy our retirement. We are primarily looking at JB and Penang but admit there are other locations we could consider. Please contact us if you have a property for us to consider

My name is Karl and I'm assisting foreigners who want to settle in Penang. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to post my web page here but you can send me a personal message or google under retire Malaysia and you will find an info page about retirement in Penang pretty much at the top.

Thanks for your response. Not sure what you are able to do or not do. Most of the checking we have done indicates a lot of nice properties in persanian gurney area fully furnished at very reasonable prices. We just returned from Penang and found this area very nice.

We are looking for a three or four month stay at end of this year as a trial run before making a full move under MM2H visa. So will need to find out what is available and rental rate per month before we commit to it. We might even fly back to Penang to check out options. We have seen online listings for furnished units in the 2000 to 3000 rm range which look interesting. Our requirement is not more than 2 br and preferably 2 bath. Please feel free to get back to me at Donald.steiner@yahoo.com if you have some suggestions towards above requirements.

I am planning to move in Malaysia this year, maybe October. I had been in Malaysia and read some Penang's travel guides and tips. However, living and just visiting is completely different.

I am wondering if living in Penang would be one of the best places in Malaysia. Factors to be considered are less pollution but definitely close to urbanization like wired internet, cost of living, and safety and security. I would like to know your in sights and it's very much appreciated.

Thanks!
