" Hello, my roommate and myself have recently decided to up and move to mexico.. cozumel / playa del carmen area. we need to make enough money to sustain living down there plus pay off our lovely student loans... ANY ADVICE??? we love the outdoors, sports, etc... my roommate, Eddie, is an engineer with 3 years experience and I, Kim, am a landscape architect wtih 3 years experience (hopefully to be licensed by june). We don''t plan on moving that way until july or august but really need to find a job that will pay us enough. we have many skills and are willing to do just about anything to make this happen. thanks. " As far as I know~~the only jobs available in Mexico at wages acceptable for a person spoiled by the USA~~~are selling real estate or time shares. It is commission, you do not need a special licence. But to work legally, you must get certain permits, I understand it takes awhile, like maybe 6 months.. The smart thing to do is have maybe about a year of living expenses available to you before you even leave the states. Good luck!! "
