Kayak Lake Chapala - Buy in Mexico or Bring my own?

I've sold several of my kayaks, all moved quickly on ebay. I've got one left, and its a favorite of mine.

We've yet to move and are minimizing.

If I sell, rather than ship:

How difficult will it be to replace a recreational kayak, for lake use?

How much will that end up costing?

I have a recreational kayak that I was about to sell, when the thought occurred to me:

What if they do not have reasonably priced kayaks in that area?

I use this (Old Town Otter) remaining kayak for solo use. When I am out on the lake alone, and prefer a stable kayak that is for a moderate relaxed paddle.

Is it smart to bring? If so I'd put it on the Strom White ship.

I hear there is a kayaking group, but I may not be athletic enough to pass their test... smile. Never the less, it shall be a pleasure to kayak year round and that in fact is a major attraction of that area.

PS Can anyone put me in touch with the organizers of that Ajijic Kayaking Group?

Thank you so much!
