We're Europeans, we'll move from Germany to QRoo by the end of November. In order to obtain a permanent resident visa, we were asked to have 72,000 Euros (about 100,000 USD) in our bank account or a salary of minimum 1,450 Euros (about 1,800 USD) a month documented for the last 6 months. I hope this will help you.

You should also note that in order to get legal residency, you need to apply at a Mexican consulate in the U.S. and show monthly income of roughly $2,040. (The amount is pegged to the Mexican minimum wage and is adjusted yearly.)

Many people skip that process by simply leaving the country briefly every six months and getting a new 180-day tourist visa when they return.
