The slow pace has it's negative side, when you are waiting for workers to show up, people to return calls,, follow thru with something. But--- didn't we come here to slow down?

That I can't get the same internet TV I could in the US. Amazon Prime, CBS All Access, STARZ...none of them work here.

that would be the least of my worries.

Most of the time it is for me too, but a 9 year series I like just ended, and Outlander, my favorite book(s) is just starting 2nd season. I hear I'll need something to do indoors once the heat and humidity gets bad..

Really bad local streets. But that's about it.

Keeps the speed down and that is a necessity in any town.

Also tears up my ankles (and my shoes) when I get my much needed exercise.

Topes (speed humps) everywhere. If a driver can only go 5 mph on a rough cobblestone street, is speed control really necessary?

That's a bit non sequitur as I have never seen a tope on a lava-rock paved street. The ones that bother me are the ones without signs to identify them and/or unpainted. I hit a new one that was rater high sending my car skyward. I could have sworn that I was looking forward to costly repair.
