That's a terrible and sad story but I can't help but question the choice to live in the Sinaloa State? Historically, high crime of all variety...

I am not sure that I entirely could follow the story. What charges were brought against their daughter were not specified. They bought a house in 2006 and sold it in 2012. The crash of 2008 effected house prices everywhere and are only now really coming back. Why were they running charities out of their home? I just find it hard to follow and make sense.

I too read the story and was not able to determine the facts of the situation based on the blog. What exactly happened to you?

So If I got this straight.. correct me if I did not get the rambles correct....While most people think this is horrible, the justice system and laws in mexico is not the same in the USA or Canada, and they expect it to be the exact same, If you follow the story, they fired an elderly couple because they were old. They probable did not pay Imss on them, Most do not pay for this and it ends up badly in the end, same happened to the owner of a large property owned by el polo loco, he too did not pay, and they were worse, they used it as their private residence and ran a business out of it, , And the court found, probably as with this one that they had to be compensated to live in the manor that they were used to... yes that's they law,... could he just have liens, yes, would the court force him out of the property ..no... do lawyers cost a lot in mexico.. yes same if not more than in the USA, and your fighting over pennies not dollars, yes loss of 60k is pennies in comparison to the down market in the USA, where the bank forecloses and they evict you, this is not the case, They walked away with 80k minus lawyer fees they they were willing to pay, just not a bribe that would have been much cheaper... The truck, if all paperwork was filed correctly it could have been recovered, yes sometimes its easier just to pay police to act, but there is a cost to not pay and they found it to be more expensive resting on their laurels. They did not know the law, they did not file the correct paperwork and want the world to know this... file wrong with the IRS and make a comparison...
