I have lived in the Yucatan and Baja and met many great people from north of the border living in these areas does anyone know about expats in Hermosillo? We are planning a trip during Semana Santa hope its not to busy.

If I'm not mistaken, that is prime drug cartel country. Careful driving on Highway 15, especially at night.

If you're the typical expat that needs that type of community then you won't like Hermosillo esp. if you don't speak good Spanish. It is a very affluent city but it is not great for typical expats. And the weather is in the 100's in the summer. You're probably better in a place like San Carlos with many American/Canadian expats.
