Dental issues with Sjogren's Syndrome

Hi! Has anyone with Sjogren's Syndrome had any experience in getting permanent dentures in Mexico? For those who don't know what it is, it's an autoimmune disease that makes saliva and tear production to almost nothing at times. I have cracked my corneas three times so far and the reduce saliva has wreaked havoc in my mouth. My teeth are so badly decayed that I am going to have the teeth that are remaining (10) pulled and dentures made. To have the dentures I would like (permanent non-remonable) Would be impossible to do in the States ($80K). So I am looking for the best area in Mexico with the best dental practise to do it in. I am from the East Coast in the States and would love any info anyone would have on this subject. I would love to talk to someone who has possibly gone through this already. I am going to have to do this within months if not weeks. Anybody? Thanks

I can't address the syndrome but I have been very impressed with Dental Express in Ajijic. They gave me ten crowns and six root canals for $2700. Dr Edguard is responsive to email, so you could explain your situation and know what he thinks. He will be honest. He and Dr Rod speak very good English. They do have a website, so google it?

WOW. Here in the States, I just paid $900 for one crown. No root canal.

We met people in the waiting room of Dental Express in Ajijic who fly in from CA regularly for dental work. It's worth the expense of a flight! And they are that good! I had a US estimate of 10 times the amount I paid.

There is supposed to be a medication to reduce dry eyes now have you researched it? I have a mild form of it. Nothing that severe.

Yes there is a medication for it. It is called Cevimeline and I am on it. I could not live without it. Literally! I have a severe form and at times I have absolutely no saliva. I can't even talk, but after taking this med I can be drooling in about 5 minutes! LOL Take care of yourself
