Mail to PO Box

I need to file my state tax return via mail (but not electronically) to a PO Box. The state tax department doesn't provide a physical address. Therefore, I cannot use FedEx or UPS to mail my tax return.

Does anyone know how I can mail my tax return from Mexico to a PO Box in the United States? I prefer to avoid using a Mexican postal service.

Thank you

Some expat areas support local mail forwarding businesses with US addresses and the ability to send mail to the USA regularly.
It might help if you mentioned your location in Mexico, so that someone could direct you to the nearest service. Mexico is a big place.
Otherwise, send it registered mail via the Correo Mexiczno and it will be able to be traced, etc.

The only cool thing about Correo Mexicano if Registered ..... you can track it online, I send a letter to my sister in Seattle and it took a month and a half. Never again

A friend may carry the letter north if they are flying, or driving to the USA, and drop it in the US mail.

I live in Queretaro. Someone attempted to file my tax return using my SSN and birth date. IRS blocked my online access and now forces me to file my 2016 tax return via mail. I also need to send state tax returns via mail because of this incident.

Anyway, I will send them to my family in the United States via UPS or FedEx. They will send my tax returns via USPS.

There is International Express Mail through the Mexico post office, which is traceable and should be reliable. Medicines Mexico uses this service to deliver meds to U.S. locations.

However, as a CPA, I suggest you call the state tax commission and ask for a physical address to use. (You could possibly Google this, but a phone call will insure you get the most current information.).

The IRS will also provide a street address for filing via UPS, FedEx, etc. if you asK. There are different addresses depending on what form you're filling and the address you're using on the return.
