neI'm neither techie noerhuge Facebook fan but i thought it would be interesting/ informative/ more personal if those of us who are justgetting started"fluffing our feathers" on our flight to freedom could share thoughts, feelings, insights, information., experiences, discoveries etc a little more personally than on this board so Chapala newbies 2018 is now live on Facebook. come on in, all friend requests accepted

Please proof-read before you post your message. That was rather garbled.
Many older expats, who are the best source of information on the experience of living in Mexico, do not use social media sites & may not even have smart phones or tablets.
Personally, I would never be interested in Facebook, etc. If you “newbies“ use that to discuss your plans, you will just confuse each other. There just is not space for complete ideas or discussions. That is why these several Mexico boards exist. Of course, we moved to Mexico long before internet.....and survived ! :)
