Hi
Any suggestions where I can meet other single expats or places to go see/hangout?
Thanks

Area around Progreso Beach is becoming chock full of ex-pats, if that's your thing. Personally, I would avoid it like the plague.

There are just SOO many things to do in Mérida, and once you are here you should have little trouble finding out what is going on, even though publicity is an area where the folks here could use a lot of work. There are lots of Facebook pages that tend to keep people informed, you can put your E-mail in to receive notifications from the English Library, and the city website has a lot of info about what is happening. We have been here almost a year now, and we seem to meet new people all the time without even trying. It is a fantastic place to live.

Progresso Beach - lovely people there but the is not good to swim in - not the clear blue waters of the Caribbean. Just my view of the area. Celestan -near by with the Flamingos - very worthwhile and breath-taking.
