Transfer to Morocco -Information Please

We are not sure where to live and actually have not decided to go for sure. We are just trying hard to make some decisions so I thought I would get some advice. We will be working close to Monammedear, I don't think that is correct spelling but we were thinking of living in Rabat. I would like to know the cost of renting a villa or house in a nice area of town. I don't want to be in a congested area but want there to be modern shopping and restaurants nearby. Are these available. Cost of living, etc. Would apprciate any help as we need to make some fast decisions. Thank you, JP

MOHAMMEDIA is just outside of Casblanca, about 15kms north. It is much closer to Casablanca than to Rabat (about 55kms) and is a fairly residential area with lots of villas with gardens etc.
Casablanca is a congested city, however if you live and work in Mohammedia, you will not experience this problem. Casablanca has many more restaurants and shopping areas than Rabat, which is a very green, but very "un-lively" city. Where you live will really depend on what kind of life style you want.
As for pricing, again, it depends on your needs. A nice villa can be anywhere around $1000 a month; the closer it is to Casablanca city, the more expensive. In Mohammedia you could get quite a big, nice house for that amount of money.
