French and spoken arabic lessons

Post New Topic

Hello every soul :D (i prefer to use that instead of everybody, it’s kind of more nominative and transcendent .. :p )

So I saw some publications pretty much everywhere in this topic, and among the few troubles uttered about living in morocco, there’s one that recurs and pops back every time: it’s about the French and spoken Arabic languages.

Therefore, I would like to raise you guys an offer :D I can teach you French or spoken Arabic (Darija), so as you get able to communicate easily with people, and in a large range of contexts (cafés, restaurants, taxis, people you meet in the street , etc ... Yup we are definitely still colonized :D), which is gonna be removing that social ankylosis that you encounter in a foreign country, and allow you to freely interact and speak your mind!

Thereupon, I would like to point out, that apart my passionate love to teach pedagogically and maidenly everything I know, i can speak very fluent French, not to say that I master it (modesty over 9000!!) haha just kidding; anyways, if you decide to go through that, I’m gonna be giving you guys a free trial session, so as you get in the mood and decide whether I deserve your majestic company or not :p

For the session’s fees, it goes up to 150 Dhs per session per person; and it’s quite reasonable according to what’s on the market.

Ismaïl, from Casablanca Morocco (yep im sorry for those who live in other citys :D. here are my ID’s if anyone is interested:

Hello everyone. I just want to let you know that 150 dhs per hour is expensive.

I am a native French speaker as well as a teacher, and when I was living in Morocco, the most I charged was 100 dhs per hour, depending on the student's situation.

You may as well enroll in a private school/academy for that price. It will be cheaper and more professional.

I am sure that he will try to negotiate with you as this is the Moroccan "culture" as well as thinking that foreigners are naive and have a lot of money.

Beware of being ripped off, not only when it comes to this particular subject, but in every area, as it is also the Moroccan "culture."

Nevertheless, I have met very nice people, who did not try to rip you off.

Peace and Salam

Hahaha :D Hello Teacher 22, it's just mesmerising to see how good are we colleages dealing with each others :D

So first of all, i appreciate that initiative of raising awerness, even though it was directed against me :D

Furthermore, i simply adore this manner of doing it: aka: replying to my message talking to the others instead of me, and by using the pronoun "he", that's what we can call true virtue :DD

Or perhaps could it be a pretty good advertisement for you :p

If i were you, i would rather have sent a private message first, detailing my point of you, or at least getting some information about whom am i talking to.

So you proclaim yourself to be a teacher, a knowledge giver, then i think you should have known that professionalism has nothing to do with the institution you're in, but with the persons who teach you :D

And trust me, to impeach someone's intentions and integrity basing yourself on 50 dhs, that is quite a non teacher attitude !! It's insulting the mere and genuine essence of this role :D

I'm not trying to rip off anyone, and i'm even less doing it toward foreigners, if you had a bit more intelligence to figure out why do i use : hello every SOUL; (in order to overcome every difference or hurdle that I may bump into, on my way to someone) you would've understood my ideology :D

Woow .. Stab in the back technique .. You must be needing some friends in your life dude !! I could become one of them if you want :D :D :*

Anyways I'm not exerting any pressure on anyone :DD needless to say that you guys are free go around check the other costs for particular language courses, and you can get the trial session as well, it's all between your hands pretty souls :D

Bonne soirée et merci ^^

Ismail, if it were a stab in the back, I would not have posted anything. It is obvious that you were going to read this post, since it is in reply to yours.

I am sorry if I offended you, I was merely saying what I thought, and have experienced.

One point I agree with is that professionalism has nothing to do with the academy or the teacher. It has to do with the person, and the passion that you have in teaching, as well as the reason why you are teaching.

"And trust me, to impeach someone's intentions and integrity basing yourself on 50 dhs, that is quite a non teacher attitude !! "

Yes, I have taught for nothing in return. You really think it is not a teacher's attitude?

Why? I taught in the "bled", and in other parts of Morocco, also in the mountains where there is nothing, where children can't even go to school because there is no transport or because they have to help their family in order to survive.

So you think I have a "non teacher's attitude?" Well, I guess it is your opinion. I am sure that the children I taught did not think the way you do.

It doesn't really matter what you think at the end of the day. Freedom of speech right?

Also where did I mention 50 dhs?

Good luck, bonne chance:)

You mentionned that 150 is too expensive and the most that you charged was 100 ... And it was not even per hour that i fixed the fees, it was per session (of 2hours which means 75dhs an hour) , so you should have read clearly before speaking !

And what you told now is very valuable and august, i sincerly thank you for what you did !

And you ve got my apologies, but it's natural that i feel offended when you are accusating me wrongly, saying that i want to rip off foreigners, and conveying some wrong ideas about me, which i would never even think of ! ... Any ways i am sorry, and i forgive you at the sametime .. :D

you mentioned that 150 dhs is too expensive and the most that you charged was 100 dhs.. even if the fees that i fixed below were per session (of 2 hours which means 75dhs per hour). be aware this time to carefully read your interlocutor's text before speaking ..

and what you did is indeniably valuable and august, i sincerely thank you for that; and note that if my situation was allowing me to do so, i wouldnt have thought of it twice !

and im not saying you're a bad person, neither a bad teacher, but this attitude especially was not good to me.

And allow me to get offended when you accuse me wrongly of trying to rip foreigners off, and convey false ideas about me, which i never even would have tought of !!

Anyways .. you 've got my apologies for what i said... and i forgive you as well.. no need for us to be wrangling like that .. from now on you are a friend of mine .:D

I couldn't help it but to engage in this conversation. In my opinion the price of a session for $150 Dh is reasonable, they are some people that charge $200/session (1.5H), also the quality of teaching has to be a factor, the fact that you are French (Teacher22) doesn't make you a teacher even you said your are one, I would like to see some degree and experience.

I don't like the fact that you made a general statement about Moroccan which is offensive in my opinion, if you think that everybody is ripping off, I have something for you just leave (get the Fxxx out) we don't need cheap French people like you. Bargaining is part of daily life in Morocco, some people enjoy other not. Sam3oula, I don't know why you have to explain your self in charging $150, at the end of the day the client will make a decision to take the class or not.

They are a lot of french retirees living living in Morocco ( Mr.Teacher22) Do you why they choose Morocco and not France? because it's cheap, so before you make a wild statement next time, remember that they are some Moroccan who love their country, and I will not allow a guy like you to go without an answer.
