American Re-locating to Colombia: Things I Must Know.

Hi,

I'm moving from California to Colombia mid Dec of this year. The two most important things I'm liking for: job and an apt to rent.

My plan is to use airbnb.com to rent something for a month. Thereafter I would like to find an apt long term. I have read it's incredibly hard to rent, so here I am asking what would be the best thing to do for long term?

Secondly, I would like to find a teaching job within the first month I am there. Is this realistic/feasible? I am TESOL certified. If so where would be the best city/town to look for a teaching position? I will be living in Medellin in the meantime.

Lastly, any dos/don'ts I must know would be helpful.
