Moving to Uruguay

Hi all, I suppose I am really just looking for a comprehensive list of what all is required of my partner and I in order to move to Uruguay hopefully in the near future. Basically the two of us are ready for a change and we want to relocate somewhere completely different. Something about Uruguay just resonates with us. I've been trying to research in to what all the two of us would have to do but everything I come across goes off on random tangents and doesn't provide a lot of detail in to what all would be needed from us. At this point in time we know it's not going to happen any time soon as from what I've gathered we need to at least ensure we are financially stable enough to not only initiate the move but also be able to support ourselves until we can find employment. How difficult is it going to be for us to find employment? We enjoy living life simply so aren't all that concerned about taking much with us or not having much once we get there. Are we required to have a place for ourselves to live before any of this can take place and if so what is the best way to go about doing that? How long does this process normally take? I guess if it's not too much to ask I'm really just asking for a detailed step-by-step guide on what we need to do, how difficult it's going to be and how long it's going to take. Also, anyone else who has done this themselves, your input on how much you enjoy living in Uruguay and why would be greatly appreciated also. Thank you :)
