Hi everyone. I'm a 26 y/o black male IT professional of Caribbean descent. I'm entertaining the idea of moving abroad, whether it be for a few years, or permanently. Of course I'd never up and move sight unseen, so please trust that I am arranging trips to visit beforehand. The countries I am interested in are Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, France, Amsterdam, Brazil, Barbados(my heritage). I'd like to know your opinions on where to consider, and what to consider as well. Thanks in advance!

France, no. Amsterdam is not a city. Brasil - maybe not. I've heard that "their" nonwhite people don't get professional jobs and are mostly in service professions - dishwashing, cook, etc. That doesn't bode well for anyone with brown skin and college degrees in things like math, science, tech, computers or law.
The rest of your list, you'd probably fit in fine.
Source: I'm a "red" Indian and looking for somewhere where I can do my PhD in Computational Physics and also be taken seriously as a mathematician or physicist - and I'm a woman, too, so there's that additional obstacle. I'm not looking, as the French might say, to be treated 'like a man" or "like White," I just wonder why the colour of my skin keeps getting me asked "can you even DO Maths" sort of rubbish everywhere I go, in the USA, KKKanada and the UKKK.

Choctaw, you are replying to a thead that is over a year old. Was it the only thread you could find on which to air your racist views?
