I am a 35 year old single American female in need of any culture other than America. I have some career college and I currently work in embroidery in the states. I am an artist/potter and would love to do my work and live off that but as we all know most artists ARE starving so.... I love the ocean and would like to have a slower more laid-back lifestyle. I am currently learning French and I know a little Spanish. I thought about going into the TEFL thing but from what I've read online a job might be harder to find since I don't have an Bachelor's degree. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions for where a good place would be all things considered??

You need to consider where you are likely to be able to legally live and work.

To be able to get a residence visa you generally need to have some skill/profession that is in demand. Without that, your options will be quite limited.

Hi,
I heard Belize was a good place to move to if you like the ocean.
If clear Caribbean waters and year-round sunshine are your priorities, Belize may be the destination for you. The Belize Barrier Reef is a diving and snorkeling haven. Over 180 miles long, it contains three offshore atolls (ring-like coral islands with a reef surrounding a lagoon), plus numerous sand cays (islands), lagoons, and estuaries. Marine life includes Green Moray Eels, Yellowtail Damselfish, nurse sharks, Parrot Fish, and bottlenose dolphins.

In addition to coral reefs, there are mountainous regions, savannas, and jungle lowlands to explore. When you hike, you will have 500 species of birds to search out, such as the colorful Scarlet Macaw, graceful Great Egret, and Keel-Billed Toucan — the national bird of Belize.

You can contact me if you want information about online income to allow you the flexibility to continue to do your artwork.
